Do: make documents from your business, on demand or on a schedule

Do makes documents from your business, on demand or on a schedule. Choose a Design, a client-ready layout in your brand; a Block, a working document you build block by block; or a Flow, a flowchart of a process. Aventide writes it from your Business Hub and saves it to your Workspace. Most documents cost 150 AI credits.

Short answer

Do is the making side of Aventide's Chat workstation. Describe a document, or pick one of the ready-made recipes sorted by area (business, offers, marketing and money), and Aventide writes it in one run from the parts of your Business Hub it needs. It comes back as one of three kinds: a Design for your clients, a Block for working documents, or a Flow, a flowchart of a process. Results land in your Workspace, ready to edit. Under Routines, a document can arrive fresh every day, week or month, and you choose when your Daily Brief comes. Do doesn't make images or slides, and it never sends anything to a client by itself.

What Do makes, now or on a schedule

What kinds of documents can Do make?

Three, and you choose. A Design is a client-ready layout in your brand, such as a proposal. A Block is a working document you build block by block: notes, plans, briefs and reports. A Flow is a flowchart of a process: who does what, in what order, with what hand-offs. Describe your own document and you pick the kind under Output. A recipe already knows its kind: Proposal, Statement of Work and Client Onboarding Packet make Designs, Client Process Map makes a Flow, and the rest, such as Market Research and Cash Flow Forecast, come back as Blocks. The catalog held 25 recipes on October 17, 2026, sorted into Business, Offers, Marketing and Money. Whichever kind you choose, the result lands in your Workspace.

What is a Design?

A client-ready document laid out in your brand: your logo, colors and fonts from your Brand Kit, with its Style shaping the words as well as the look. It starts from one of five templates: One-pager, Proposal, Scope of work, Welcome note or Project recap. Aventide asks which one and never picks for you, and a proposal or scope of work also asks how it's priced: From an offer, Custom or Decide later. Before anything is written, you check the outline under "Does this look right? In this order?" and change what you like. Where there's a price, the price table is written by code from the price you chose and ends with "Plus applicable taxes.", so no figure comes from the AI, and it changes only through Edit price. To change anything else, type it in the Ask for a change box, such as "add a FAQ section": for 25 credits you see it before and after, then apply or discard it.

What is a Block?

A working document you build and edit block by block: notes, plans, briefs and reports. Type / in a line of text to add a heading, text, a list, a table, a stat, a divider or an image, and drag a block by its handle to move it. Every recipe that isn't a Design or a Flow comes back as a Block, so a Market Research report or a Cash Flow Forecast opens ready to edit like a page you wrote yourself. It saves as you go, keeps Undo and Redo, and downloads as a PDF, a PNG image or Markdown. To write one from scratch, choose New, then Block document, in your Workspace; a blank one uses no credits.

What is a Flow?

A flowchart of a process: who does what, in what order, with what hand-offs. Each party has its own lane, such as you and your client, and each step is marked as a client step, your team's step, a milestone, a touchpoint, an automated step, an approval or a hand-off. A Flow holds up to four lanes and 12 steps, so it reads at a glance. The Client Process Map recipe draws how you work with a client, from the first inquiry to wrap-up, with the proposal, the contract and deposit, kickoff and delivery in between, and you can pick one of your offers to tailor it. Or describe any process in the Make a custom document box and choose Flow. Edit changes the lanes, steps, arrows and notes in a simple form at no cost; Regenerate redraws it for 150 credits.

Where does Do get what it writes?

From your business, and only the parts a document needs. Each recipe reads named sections of your Business Hub: Market Research reads your facts, goals and documents, and Weekly SEO insights reads your facts plus your site check, Search Console and Analytics. A Design also takes your Brand Kit, and a proposal's case for you uses only proof you saved, such as a result you recorded or a client's own words. What isn't saved isn't invented: an unknown is written in plain words, like "Pricing to be confirmed", or left out. Someone who moved from programming to sales and project management described the manual version on Hacker News in April 2023: "it used to take me a ton of time in order to do proposals. now i fire up chatgpt4 and just prompt it for what i need." A recipe is that prompt written once, and Do fills it in from what you've saved.

What can run on a schedule?

Two kinds of routine, under Routines in Do. Daily Brief delivery sets when your brief reaches you and whether this business is in it; the brief uses no credits, and you can open it any time, even with delivery off. Scheduled Documents makes a fresh document on a schedule: Market Research, a sourced report on competitors, pricing, demand and market gaps; Weekly SEO insights, what moved in search this week, on Mondays at 08:00 unless you change it; or any other recipe, daily, on weekdays, weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Times follow your business's time zone, set in the Business Hub. Creating a schedule makes the first document straight away, then a new one each time it runs, each saved to your Workspace.

How do you change or stop a routine?

Under Your routines, where every scheduled document is listed with when it last ran or runs next. Open one to run it now, pause and resume it, or delete it; its gear changes the document, day, time or name. A scheduled document costs the same as making it once, shown on its row and on the Create schedule button: 150 credits a run, or 250 for Market Research. If your balance is below a run's cost, that run is skipped and the routine carries on at its next time once you have credits; it isn't paused or deleted. Weekly SEO insights can also tell you through Sidekick when a report is ready, in Telegram, WhatsApp or Slack. Other scheduled documents arrive in your Workspace without a notice.

Where do finished documents go?

To your Workspace, in the Business Hub. While a run works, it sits in the Execution Queue beside Do; click View Output when it's done, or Stop to cancel it and get its credits back. A run that fails gives its credits back too. Do never gives a document to a client by itself. To file one under a client, open their room, click Add on the Documents card and pick it. Only a Design can then be shown in their portal; a Block or a Flow stays with your team.

How to make a document in Do

Open Do

Open Chat in the sidebar, click Do at the top and stay on One-time. Under Make something is the Make a custom document box. Below it are the recipes: Client documents first, then the top picks for each area, or one area at a time from the All areas menu.

Choose what to make

Type what the document is for, who it's for and the sections that matter, or start from an example. Under Output, choose Block, Design or Flow. For a Design, pick a Template; a proposal or scope of work also asks about Pricing. Or click a recipe card instead: a Client documents card asks the same template and pricing questions, and Client Process Map lets you pick an offer first.

Check the preview

Click Continue. Aventide reads your request and shows the name, what it will make, the output, where it lands and the cost; reading your request is free. If a recipe already does the job, it offers Run that instead. For a Design, check the outline under "Does this look right? In this order?" and click Looks right, create. Otherwise, click Make it.

Open it in your Workspace

When the run is done, click View Output in the Execution Queue, or find the document in your Workspace. Change it there: a Design section by section or with Ask for a change, a Block block by block, a Flow with Edit.

Put it on a schedule

For a fresh one regularly, click Routines. Under Scheduled Documents, click Schedule Market Research or Schedule Weekly SEO insights, or pick another document and how often and click Set schedule. Check the day, the time and the time zone, then click Create schedule; the button shows the credits each run uses, and the first document starts straight away.

How do Think and Do work together?

Do picks up where the thinking stops. If you aren't sure yet what a document should say, talk it through in Think first and you'll rewrite less; then make it there or come back to Do with a clear brief. Ask Think something that needs a full report and it suggests the matching recipe by name instead of stretching one reply. Both work from the same Business Hub and the same credits, and anything Do saves to your Workspace, Think can open and talk through with you later.

What's next: custom work, done for you

Not available yet. Do makes one document at a time, and some work is bigger than that: a job with several steps that runs longer than one document. We're building a way to hand Aventide a job like that and have it done for you. Inside our team we call these minions, and we're testing the idea there first. We haven't set a date, and what it does may change before it opens.

What Do costs

Do is on both plans: Starter is $39 a month and Pro is $99 a month, each with unlimited businesses and unlimited team members. Doing things yourself never uses credits. Only the AI's work does. A Do document costs 150 AI credits, whichever kind it is, and Market Research costs 250 because it also searches the web, up to eight times a run. A scheduled document costs the same each time it runs. Asking for a change to a Design costs 25 and redrawing a Flow costs 150; editing by hand and starting a blank document cost nothing. Reading your request and the outline are free, and a run you stop, or one that fails, gives its credits back. Starter includes 40,000 credits a month, about 265 documents if you made nothing else, and Pro 120,000. Your Daily Brief uses none.

Questions about Do

Is Do the same as asking Think to make something?

It makes the same documents at the same price. Use Think when you want to shape the request in conversation, and Do when you know what you want and would rather fill in a short form. In Think, Aventide asks you to approve the first document it makes in a conversation; in Do, the preview and its button are that check.

Can Do write a document for a specific client?

Not by itself: Do never asks for a client or files a document under one. To write for one client, open their room and use New document on the Documents card, which uses their details and asks the same template and pricing questions. Or ask Think to write it for that client by name.

Does Market Research make up its sources?

No. It cites only pages its web search returned, keeps what the sources show apart from its own hypotheses, and labels how strong the evidence is. When the search finds too little, it says so and gives you a checklist or interview questions to test the idea yourself instead of padding the report. Nothing it finds is saved as a business fact.

Can I start a Do document from my phone?

Yes, through Sidekick in Telegram, WhatsApp or Slack: ask for "a cash flow forecast" and Aventide queues the recipe, once you confirm the first one in a conversation. The document lands in your Workspace. Ask for it when it's done and Sidekick sends a link that opens on your phone without signing in, for 24 hours.

Can I change a document after Do makes it?

Yes, and changing it by hand never uses credits. Every document opens in your Workspace. On a Design you can also describe a change and see it before and after for 25 credits, then apply or discard it; its price table changes only through Edit price, so a client never sees a figure you didn't set there. On a Flow, Edit changes the steps and lanes, and Regenerate redraws the whole flowchart for 150 credits.

Will Do send anything to my clients?

No. Do saves documents to your Workspace, and a client sees one only when you share it, put it in their portal or send it. Anything Aventide drafts for a client waits for your approval; automations you switch on run on their own. A scheduled document is one of those automations: it runs at its time and saves the result for you.
