Invoicing software for small business, for every business you run
Short answer
Aventide handles invoices and payments in its Money workstation and in each client’s room. An invoice starts in the client’s room with their details filled in, and it is paid into the Stripe or QuickBooks Payments account you connect, with no cut to Aventide. A signed contract with a deposit comes with its deposit invoice, drafted and waiting. Overdue invoices get a drafted reminder, and you can ask Sidekick for a rewrite before you approve. Timers in each room and the expenses you log feed invoice lines. QuickBooks Online syncs about every 15 minutes, and the Money page shows what’s unpaid, paid and spent. Every business keeps its own clients, invoices and Stripe account, under one login.
What invoicing in Aventide does
Send invoices from the client's room
Open a client's room and click New invoice; the client is already filled in. Add line items by hand, or bring in time from the room's timer and costs you logged for that client. When a client signs a contract with a deposit, the deposit invoice is drafted and waits for your OK. Stripe or QuickBooks emails each invoice you send.
Paid into your own account, with 0% to Aventide
Invoices go out through the Stripe account you connect, or through QuickBooks, and the money lands in your account, not ours. Aventide takes 0% of what clients pay you; you pay only your processor's own fees. Clients pay a Stripe invoice by card, or by bank transfer if you turn that on in Stripe. A paid invoice turns Paid in Money on its own.
Overdue reminders, drafted for your approval
At 3, 7 and 14 days overdue, Aventide drafts a reminder for what's still owed and puts it in Approvals and your Daily Brief. "i feel like an idiot asking for money i've already earned," one Hacker News poster wrote in October 2025. In Aventide the words are already written: read them, ask Sidekick to make them warmer or firmer, then approve.
Track what's owed, paid and spent
The Money page shows your unpaid invoices, what you've been paid, what's on its way to your bank and what arrived. Below sit your expenses, with their receipts, and time you haven't billed yet. Send Sidekick a photo of a receipt and Aventide logs the expense. The Dashboard adds figures like Money in, Outstanding and Revenue by client.
Each business keeps its own money
Each business you run connects its own Stripe account and QuickBooks company, so its invoices, payments and expenses stay with it. "You should be able to have separate Stripe accounts on separate invoice templates," Dervila Layden wrote on an accounting app's ideas forum in March 2026. In Aventide, you switch businesses from one menu and Money reloads for the one you picked.
How to send an invoice in Aventide
Connect Stripe or QuickBooks
Open Money and click Stripe or QuickBooks under Connections. Connect the Stripe account you already use, or let Stripe set up a new one, and sign in to QuickBooks when it opens. If you connect both, pick which one sends new invoices under Send invoices with.
Make the invoice
In the client's room or on the Money page, click New invoice. Check the client's name and email, set the due date and add line items, or add the unbilled time and expenses Aventide offers for that client. Under Tax, let Stripe or QuickBooks calculate it, or enter an amount yourself.
Send it, or ask Sidekick to draft it
Click Save & send, then Send invoice. Stripe emails your client the invoice with a payment page; QuickBooks emails it with a payment link when QuickBooks Payments is on. You can also ask Sidekick in Think: "Draft an invoice for Fernwood Bakery for the brand workshop." Aventide drafts the invoice and asks before sending it.
Get paid, then follow up
When your client pays through Stripe or QuickBooks, the invoice turns Paid in Money on its own. An unpaid invoice turns Overdue the day after its due date, and reminders are drafted for your approval at 3, 7 and 14 days. If a client pays by cash or check, open the invoice's menu and click Mark paid.
What invoicing costs
Invoicing is on both plans, like every feature: Starter is $39 a month and Pro is $99 a month, each with unlimited businesses and unlimited team members. Aventide adds no fee to what your clients pay; you pay only your payment processor's own fees, Stripe's or QuickBooks'. Doing things yourself never uses credits. Only the AI's work does. Sending invoices, logging expenses and approving reminders yourself is free; asking Sidekick to draft an invoice, rewrite a reminder or log a receipt photo uses AI credits. Starter includes 40,000 credits a month and Pro 120,000.
Questions about invoicing and payments
Can my clients pay by bank transfer in Aventide?
Yes, on invoices sent through Stripe, if you turn bank transfer (ACH Direct Debit) on in your Stripe account, alongside card. On QuickBooks invoices, your client sees the payment options set in your QuickBooks Payments. At booking, clients pay by card. If a client pays by cash or check, mark the invoice paid in Money.
Does Aventide sync with QuickBooks?
Yes, with QuickBooks Online. Connect your QuickBooks company in Money and Aventide brings in your QuickBooks customers, invoices and payments about every 15 minutes. You can also send invoices through QuickBooks, and QuickBooks applies its own payment and tax settings. Refunds and credit memos in QuickBooks don't sync yet.
Can I run invoices for two businesses in Aventide?
Yes. Each business you add has its own clients, invoices, expenses, Stripe account and QuickBooks company, under one login. Money reloads to match the business you choose in a single menu. Starter and Pro both include unlimited businesses; the free trial allows up to three. Money shows one business at a time, so there's no combined total yet.
Does Aventide send payment reminders automatically?
Not by itself. When an invoice is overdue, Aventide drafts a reminder to your client. Anything Aventide drafts for a client waits for your approval; automations you switch on run on their own. Approve it and the reminder opens in your email to send; if the invoice went through Stripe, Stripe also emails the invoice again.
Is Aventide accounting software?
No. Aventide sends invoices, tracks payments, expenses and unbilled time, and syncs with QuickBooks Online. It doesn't run payroll, pay contractors or file taxes, and you answer a chargeback in Stripe, not in Aventide. If you need full bookkeeping, keep QuickBooks or your accountant for the books and use Aventide for invoices and client work.
